BlueStar, located in Hebron, KY, is a leading distributor of Point-of-Sale (POS), Auto ID, Mobility, and RFID products with additional offices throughout the USA, as well as in Latin America, Canada, and Europe. Over the past decade, the company has experienced average annual growth of 42%--thanks in part to the company's solutions-based distribution model actualized in 2002.

BlueStar's solutions-based model is driven by our partners' needs. As a solutions-based distributor we offer unique leasing programs, hardware, software, service bundles, extended warranties, professional services, and business development and marketing programs to assist VARs in branding their company in their geographic market. We also, of course, offer the usual distribution services such as product selection, pick-pack-ship, and credit terms.

Technical Services

BlueStar has a network of certified professional service providers available to partner with our VARs to help end-users with a variety of services. They can help with individual projects or can become a part of your everyday business, holding numerous certifications necessary to handle the most complicated projects. Rest assured they will represent your company well. BlueStar offers WLAN Site Surveys, WLAN Installation, On-Site Printer Repair, POS System Installation, and Mobile Computer Installation.

Educational Services

In addition to technical services, BlueStar provides a wide range of educational services to get our VAR customers the most relevant information on the products we offer. Along with trainings and certifications provided through our manufacturers, BlueStar hosts seminars and Lunch & Learns on a wide variety of topics, at locations throughout the country. We also make available to our customers self-running Webinars called e-Learns, that can be accessed day or night.

Marketing and Business-Development Services

BlueStar has worked to create a portfolio of business-development services for our customers called FUSION, that is designed to enhance our resellers' marketing and business-development programs. It brings BlueStar Vendors together with Value-Added Resellers (VARs) to form partnerships where Vendors can easily provide assistance to VARs through the FUSION program's value-added solutions. We provide a variety of direct avenues for Vendors to inform, educate, and guide their VAR Partners in growing their businesses, with FUSION business-development tools such as: direct mail, telemarketing, graphic design, Web development and optimization, and printing services.

BlueStar Now an Authorized Distributor of Microsoft Dynamics Retail Management System in Latin America

BlueStar has recently entered a distribution agreement with Microsoft to distribute the Microsoft Dynamics Retail Management System (RMS) in Latin America. BlueStar will distribute Microsoft Dynamics RMS solutions to customers in Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Puerto Rico. This partnership will focus on creating unique POS bundled solutions for retail value-added resellers in these regions.

BlueStar Signs Definitive Purchase Agreement with IDSYS
March 4, 2010
On March 2, 2010, BlueStar announced that it had signed a definitive purchase agreement with IDSYS, a distributor of specialty electronics covering Auto ID, Mobile Data Management, and Point-of-Sale verticals. Under the terms of the agreement, BlueStar will acquire all company interest in Spain and Portugal, thereby, merging operations on the Iberian Peninsula.
